Frequently Asked Questions

What is axe throwing and how does it work?

Experience the thrill of axe throwing—an exhilarating and unique entertainment activity! It is exactly as it sounds—throwing axes at a target to earn points. It may sound crazy, but it will quickly become a favourite activity for your family, friends, or colleagues. Reserve your sessions online (walk-ins are welcome—just give us a call!). All sessions start with safety guidelines and throwing practice, guided by our Axepert. Once you’ve sharpened your skills, the Axepert can guide you through a range of competitive games. If you'd rather throw casually, that's perfectly fine too! Axe throwing is inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of size or strength. Once you hit your first bullseye, you'll be hooked!

Is it safe?

Absolutely! Safety takes precedence for us. Our Axeperts will provide thorough training on the proper throwing technique. Within the throwing area, only two active competitors are permitted, while all other guests must wait outside the bay. By following these guidelines, there's no need for concern!

Are spectators welcome?

Feel free to bring spectators along! However, be aware that they may feel a bit left out as they observe everyone else enjoying the experience. Those inside the axe bay are required to sign a waiver.

Is there an age limit?

Participants must be 16 years old or older. All participants must sign a waiver. For any minors (under 18), a waiver must be completed with the signature of a parent or guardian.

Can I bring small children?
We are happy to be a family-friendly venue. However, it's advisable to keep small children away from axes. While they are welcome to be present with spectators, for their safety and the well-being of all guests, small children will not be permitted inside the axe bay at any time. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Are walk-ins available?
Absolutely! We do give priority to customers who have booked in advance, so give us a call before you swing by to make sure we have availability.

Can we take pictures and videos?
Definitely, capturing your initial bullseye is a moment worth remembering. Feel free to tag us on Instagram and Facebook—we'd love to see and share your experience!

What should I wear?
Closed-toed shoes are required. It is helpful to have a loose-fitting shirt that allows for a full range of arm motions; otherwise, attire is up to you! We encourage wearing comfortable clothes you can move easily in.

Are corporate events hosted?
Absolutely! Give us a call to arrange your upcoming corporate or team-building event. We also cater to bachelor or bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, family reunions, and more.

How early should I arrive?
Please be here 10 minutes before your scheduled throwing time.

How much does it cost?
The Quick Chuck (30 mins) - $35pp

The Chuck (1 hour) - $49pp

The Long Chuck (2 hours) - $70pp

Do I still get the full session time if I arrive late?

Unfortunately, if you arrive late you will only get the time allocated to the time slot you booked. (e.g. If you book a two hour session at 6:00pm and arrive at 6:30pm your session will still only run until 8:00pm.)

Can we book a time that's not listed?

Get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to accommodate. During weekends we won’t be able to shift session times, but there is more chance during the week.

How do I pay?
We accept most major credit cards online. You can conveniently make payments directly from our booking page when securing your reservation. For walk-in visits, both cash and EFTPOS are accepted.

Is there a minimum group size?
Our minimum booking size is 2 people.

How many axe throwing lanes do you have?

We currently have seven lanes in our venue.

Can we bring our own axes?

All throwing axes are supplied by Axe and Grind. To comply with our insurance policy, guests are not permitted to bring their own axes or any other throwing tools onto our premises.
